Checkout, taxes, and invoices

Polar sells and bills paid subscriptions as merchant of record. Checkout shows the subscription price, billing interval, applicable taxes, and final amount before you confirm the purchase. Polar provides the order record and invoice or receipt for the transaction.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval until canceled. Use Manage billing in your U.S. Climate Data account to open the secure Polar billing portal. If you cannot access your account, use the contact form from the email address used for the purchase.

Canceling prevents the next renewal. Access normally continues through the end of the paid period unless the order, service, or law requires otherwise.

Refund requests

A cancellation does not automatically refund the current paid period. If you believe you were charged in error, charged twice, or could not receive the paid service, contact us promptly with the Polar order reference. We review requests in good faith and do not limit any mandatory consumer rights. Polar processes any approved refund.

Payment issues

If a renewal payment fails, paid access may be restricted. The account currently allows a short two-day grace period before the affected key is returned to the Free plan. You can subscribe again when payment is resolved.
